unPROFESSIONALISM

Well since this is the Arigo Recordings blog, and we are frantically planning for our celebrity red carpet launch party, I thought this would be a great platform to voice my irritation with unPROFESSIONAL ARTISTS.

So please ya’ll explain to me why there are so many people out there who claim to be artists (i.e. singers, dancer, actors, writers, painters, sculptors, etc.), but continue to not only be unreliable but also unPROFESSIONAL? I mean how does this equate to them booking/getting work? I know if any of our artists should show the slightest bit of unPROFESSIONALISM, their career will be short-lived at Arigo Recordings.

This post is really to get those people who dream of being able to look themselves in the mirror and say, ‘Yes, I’m an artist…’ to be PROFESSIONAL. Believe me it will separate you from all the losers out there who are not hungry and think their SHIT doesn’t smell like SHIT. IT DOES ASSHOLE! Professionalism goes such a long way in this business, because there are so many people who just can’t do it. The one’s who can, have longevity. They are remembered…hell, they get work. And that’s what is important when you’re competing in the cattle calls, tour auditions, showcases, and reality show circuit.

Well, I’m off my soap box (for now). And I hope the person who inspired me to take to our blog and vent, realizes how much she is hurting her career. I refuse to work with you again, and I know I’m not alone. I’m definitely not one of those vindictive sons-of-bitches who runs and tells everyone they know in the business about one bad apple (there’s enough of those people already running around), I just want you to wizen up MISS THANG, and take other people’s time seriously.

Always remember, your last job is an interview for the next job you get…

Peace.
